Maids at work...sorta

Sylvina: Porpora! Hey! Get up and get moving we have a whole castle we need to get clean! And you have horses to feed and stables you have to clean! Come on! Get your dingy boots on and get to work, now!

Porpora: Sylvina. We have already dusted, swept, wiped, and brushed this gilded bird's nest of a prison from top to bottom for the past 10 hours! From the first dawn of sunlight to sundown, for the past 4 days while the mistress was away! Why can't I just lie down and rest my feet for just an hour? Just an hour! I'm acing from head to toe!

Sylvina: It's always the same with you. First you ask for some time off for a break, then you'll ask for more until you're not working at all and you become as unmoving and unproductive as the furniture we've cleaned so much over the months. If you have actually have done your job right instead of lazing about dreaming of delusional grandeur you don't deserve and trying to seduce every mildly attractive guest we have like some filthy lady of the night, we would actually have an easier time cleaning the castle.

Porpora: Do not pin the blame on me! You are just as responsible for our troubles as well. You annoy guest, argue with other servants and simply just get in everyone's way while you stuff yourself with pastries you smuggled out of the chef's quarters! You are one of major reason's working in this place is such a living hell! How dare you call me out when you're the biggest problem this castle's ever had!

Sylvina: I had had it up to here with your falsehoods. One day I will have you off of this castle and see to it you live in horrid squalor for the rest of your vile days!

Porpora: And I'll be happier for it if I leave. You have no idea how much guest love me and hate you! Hah! Live in Squalor? There will be a line of nobles just willing to take me into their households as a maid or even more! I could leave any day and live in luxury forgetting about ever being with a volatile rat such as yourself!

Sylvina: RAT! I'LL SHOW YOU ABOUT RATS YOU DISGUSTIONG WHOR-

Rossana: Ahem! If it isn't too much to ask of you two, I could really use some help now! Our lady is going to return within two days with very important guests. Please. Let's just finish this and get this over with. Sylvina, I can convince the cooks to make that lovely cherry and berry pie you love so much by dusk. And Porpora, I know you're tired, we all are but we need your help dearly. When our duties end, I can give you a nice and long foot massage I know you love so much. And Maybe our mistress will recognize our efforts and reward us with more privileges. Maybe even a pet! But we need to finish with our work first.

Both Porpora and Sylvina: ...Fine.

Rossana: Thank you... Porpora you can keep your boots off for a bit longer I'll take care of the horses this time if you let me borrow them for a bit. you can clean the rest of the windows if you like. I don't have long boots like you yet and I cannot ruin another pair of white stockings and mary-janes. I don't have enough money to pay the shoemaker and the cobbler will KILL me if I show him another pair of soiled shoes again.

Porpora: Fine. But be sure to be careful and clean them off when you finish. Those are my favorite work boots that I had for two years and I want to have them for two more. And I can't bare the thought of breaking in another pair of boots while we're so busy.

Rossana: I won't let you down Porpora! (She exits)

Sylvina: This isn't over you sorry excuse for a royal mistress...

Porpora: Hmph!

And with that, the three maids continue their work for their master. Will they be able to move on past this and truly find what's really important or will their bickering destroy them? We just need to wait and see.
